Skin Exams

Skin cancer rates continue to rise faster than any other cancer in the U.S. That’s why the medical providers at Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center recommend (and perform) annual skin exams on our clients. If you do have a suspicious mole or other skin lesion, your provider will biopsy or remove it with special techniques to minimize scarring (see cosmetic lesion removal). During your skin exam, your provider will be happy to treat and remove nuisances such as skin tags, warts, red moles, as well as precancerous lesions (actinic keratosis), usually during the same visit. Because Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center is a medical clinic, you can use your health insurance for medical skin exams and treatments.

Skin Lesion Removal

If you have a growth on or beneath you skin you’d rather not have, all Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center providers have additional training in cosmetic lesion removal and wound repair. So unlike other medical practices, we’ve focused on how you’ll look after something is removed. In most cases, we hardly leave a trace. Your Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center provider can also help with scar revision using both cosmetic surgical and laser techniques.

Scar Revision

Do you have scars from surgery? Stitches? From acne? What about chicken pox or burns? You may be surprised at how well those and most other scars can be minimized, right in our office. Depending upon your specific case, we use lasers (CO2 or KTP) or cosmetic surgical techniques to smooth, fade, or completely eliminate ugly scars you thought would be there forever.
