Medical Director
Dr. Gustav Lo is Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center’s Medical Director. After operating Quick Care Medical Center for over 20 years he welcomed the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Petoskey in 2001, CSLC Traverse City in 2008 and CSLC Gaylord in 2010. He is our exclusive Smartlipo Physician, performing more liposuction than any other aesthetic practice or plastic surgeon in Northern Michigan. Dr. Lo has completed group and private trainings for Smartlipo with some of the nation’s leading surgeons such as Dr. Stephen Mulholand in Toronto and Dr. John Millard in Denver. His vast knowledge and experience ensures that you are in good hands.

Rene Ames, R.N.
Laser/ Skin Care Specialist & Patient Care Coordinator
Rene is our primary Laser and Injection Provider for the Gaylord office. She acts as our patient care coordinator, answering any and all questions that you might have before, during, or after your service. Rene is a Platinum Level Botox and Juvederm provider, and also specializes in our skin rejuvenation, skin tightening and volume reduction therapies. Rene previously worked in the OB department at Otsego Memorial Hospital and brought her experience and knowledge with her to aesthetics.

Sarah Schornak
Esthetician
Sarah is our Laser and Skin Care Specialist in Petoskey. She joined Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in 2008. Sarah was trained at the Douglas J Aveda Institute and is a favorite of clients for her sense of style and noticeable results.

Jessie Deak
Esthetician
Jessie joined the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Traverse City after 5 year experience in a spa. Jessie was trained at the Douglas J Aveda Institute in Lansing, MI. She is an expert at our chemical peels, microdermabrasions, tinting and brow shaping. She is happy to top off your treatment with a complimentary color match for our Glo mineral makeup.

Gaylord Office Coordinator
Jacy joined the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center with the opening of the Gaylord office. This Central graduate with an extensive background in customer service enjoys working towards making your experience exceptional.

Courtney Sumpter, P.A-C
Clinical Director
Courtney is Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center’s Clinical Director. She founded the business in 2001 with Dr. Gustav Lo. She continues to evolve the practice with the newest innovative techniques and procedures to suit each patient’s individual needs and provide a variety of solutions. Courtney is the area’s first Platinum Level Botox® and Juvederm® Provider (since 2004), and a Top 200 Nationwide Restylane® and Perlane® Injector. Her expertise and precision in cosmetic treatments comes from years of experience and her regular attendance at conferences in Smartlipo, Aesthetics, Dermatology, and Laser Technology.

Lee Ruemenapp, R.N, B.S.N
Laser and Injection Provider
Lee is our primary Laser and Injection Provider for the Traverse City office. She joined the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in 2009 after spending 14 years at Northern Michigan Hospital. Her soft touch and results-driven style will make your experience a great one. She is a Platinum Level Botox and Juvederm provider as well. Lee has a vast amount of medical knowledge and will leave you feeling educated on our services and treatments as well as offer suggestions for your next visit or an at-home regimen.

Jeanne Conners
Makeup Artist
Jeanne joined the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in 2005. She is happy to answer any questions in the office about skin care, treatments and make-up. Whether you’re looking for a full make-up tutorial or a quick touch up before leaving the office you’ll love Jeanne’s artistic approach to aesthetics.

Kelly Bolton
Petoskey Office Coordinator
Kelly joined the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in 2007. Kelly graduated college with a Degree in Business Management in 2004. She’ll most likely be your first point of contact with our office and will confidently answer your aesthetic questions in the office or over the phone. She’s happy to coordinate your appointments to suit your treatment needs and cater to your hectic schedule.

Allison Quatrini
Traverse City Office Coordinator
Allison joined our Traverse City office with its growth and expansion. Growing up on the east coast and attending Boston University, her family roots brought her back to Northern Michigan. She will help you find time for a complimentary consultation or answer your aesthetic questions.
